AGENCY: One phrase that has not resonated with me over the past two lectures is 'agency of objects'. Teddy tends to say this multiple times during the lecture and I feel confused about exactly what he is trying to convey. I looked up the familiar word 'Agency' and to my surprise, the number one definition was Teddy's usage, rather than the common usage, which was the last definition provided. 1. active force, action; power. 6. an organization that offers a particular kind of assistance. Now I feel a bit embarrased for failing to understand Teddy's uncommon usage, but I'm glad I looked it up! Teddy is referring to the power or potential that an object contains. - Deanne
